On Monday, August 12th 2024, an awarding ceremony was held at the SMAPJ’s basketball field. On that bright morning, the headmistress of SMA Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo, Mrs. Suci Wulandari approached the ceremony’s podium. After a few chain of events and ceremonial customs, an awarding ceremony was held.
At the beginning of every semester, SMA Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo held an awarding ceremony to students that marked outstanding achievements – both academically and non academically. The top two students who marked the highest academic achievement, recieve a scholarship for the semester. While the students who excel with marvelous non-academic achievements (won awards, competitions, etc) and showed great discipline for the past semester, recieve a special form of appreciation from the school.
This semester, the students who received the academic awards are Rasya ‘26, Aurea ‘26, Syakira ‘25, and Aurelia ‘25. The 11th and 12th grade students are the only ones who are eligible to this award. Meanwhile, the non-academic achievements awards this semester goes to Kraven ‘25, Alberth ‘26, Calluela ‘26, and Nathan ‘26.
This tradition of awarding ceremony is held every semester to provoke excitement and friendly competition among the students to be excited to achieve more. Congratulations to all awardees, may big achievements and the marvelous journey to get there keep coming towards you!
