On a bright morning of July 28, 2026, the school was filled with excitement as students gathered for the morning assembly. This assembly was one of the most anticipated moments at the beginning of every semester, the awarding of academic scholarships and non-academic achievement awards to outstanding students.
The event began with the regular morning assembly, followed by a welcoming speech from the Principal of Pembangunan Jaya 2 Senior Highschool, Mrs. Suci Wulandari, who stated her appreciation for the students’ hard work and achievements. Then, the event continued with awarding the outstanding students. The moment became even more special, as the school invited the parents of the awardees to witness the event. Their presence showed their pride and support for their children.
This time, the winner of the academic scholarship was Michelle, Geo from grade 11, and Khayla, Awi from grade 12, who achieved the highest score on their report cards. Meanwhile, non-academic achievement awards were given to Dhandy from grade 12, and Cia, Dinda, Keisha, Tiffany from grade 11, for their excellent performance in many fields, such as arts, sports, and other competitions.
The Arc had an opportunity to interview Geo, one of the academic scholarship winners of this semester. (July 28 2026):
“Becoming one of the awardees of the Academic Scholarship at Pembangunan Jaya 2 Senior High School has been one of my goals since I first stepped foot on this school. Although there were times when my steps felt uncertain, there were always people who believed in me. I just hope that everyone can embrace their goals and ambitions without feeling judged by those around them. Being ambitious is something great you can do for yourself. However, being able to control yourself and understand your own capabilities is even more important. So always keep your head up and make sure to show everyone that you’re cool!”
Through this event, the school hopes that these achievements could inspire students to continue developing their potential, trying out new things, and keep pursuing their dreams. In the future, it is hoped that more achivements would be accomplished, bringing more recognition to the school’s name and make everyone proud in every field. Congratulations to all scholarship and award winners! keep chasing your dreams as high as the sky goes
