The 8th generation of SMA Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo, named “Asta Varna” has just graduated this month on the 15th of June 2024. Symbolizing the start of their new chapter and awaiting future on their next steps on the education’s ladder, this class of 2024’s graduation’s theme was “The Golden Future”. Bejeweled in black and gold themed decorations, interactive lightings, and maroon attire, the ceremony was filled with an ethereal and heartfelt atmosphere.
Unlike the generations before, this year’s graduation was held in the evening – adding a sense of calmness to the event. The event started by an opening ceremony, traditional dance performance, anthems, and few opening speeches including one delivered by the Pembangunan Jaya School Executive Principal, Mrs. Indira Sunito, M.Psi. who was present that evening. On the main graduation ceremony, each one of the graduates were called and walk through the stage as they receive their highschool certificate. The event was then continued with speeches from the graduate representatives and the graduate’s parent/guardian representative. The evening ended with two special performances by the graduates and a surprise performance from the teachers. After photo sessions, the series of events on Asta Varna’s graduation finally ended.
To get up-close and personal, The Arc asked one of the graduate, Angel ’24 to express her feelings, graditute, and deliver messages she wishes to add to this article :
“After passing through three years that felt so exhausting yet enjoyable, here my friends and I arrive at the end of our story. My feelings are deeply mixed; I feel very sad when remembering how my friends and I have to part ways to pursue our respective dreams. On the other hand, I feel very happy because I have been able to complete everything and step up to a higher level. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my cohort, Asta Varna, especially to my class, XIISOONE. Thank you for making every day more colorful, thank you for the deeply enriching friendships, thank you for everything. Until we meet again, may you all be successful and healthy, my friends”.
Happiest graduation to Asta Varna, SMA Pembangunan Jaya SDA’s class of 2024! May you leave here with a deep appreciation of your time in highschool. Wishing you nothing but the best of time and success in pursuing the next step of your education journey in colleges. Congratulations and best wishes!
