Kimchi Jjigame : Relieving Finals’s Stress with Heated Series of Competitions This Class Meeting

After one-and-a-half week packed with final exams, on Tuesday June 11th, the students begun a series of competitions and matches ranging from sports to culinary as a part of this semester’s class meeting named “Kimchi Jjigame”. As represented on the name, this series of competition was quite a fun and heated one, as there were lots of kinds of competition and games being contested. There were a total of 13 games and competitions which consisted of : game character design, mobile legends, free fire, cultural fest, cultinary, chess, football, basketball, and a few more. 

This semester’s class meeting, Kimchi Jjigame consists of four days in total. The first day (Tuesday), is when the first rounds of the sports (both physical sports and electronic) ones were held. The heat, spirit, and friendly competitiveness among the classes were visible during this time. Chants were heard as each classes compete to be able to make it to the next round of the competitions and game on day 2. The semifinals and grand finals of the sports competitions were held on the second day of Kimchi Jjigame. On top of that, a few other competition were also held on that day such as chess and a new addition to this semester’s class meeting : cultinary, a cultural cooking and business competition, which The Arc will get up close and thorough on another article. The third day of Kimchi Jjigame was a few competition held for Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo’s junior high school students such as “eztafet” and others. The fourth and final day of Kimchi Jjigame was a really fun, fresh, and vibrant one as the students were dressed up in a few country’s traditional clothing for “Cultural Fest”, which The Arc will also get up close and thorough on another article. Later on that day, an awarding session was held and thus endeth the Kimchi Jjigame.

This fun and a sprinkle of competitiveness wrapped in a fresh and unique concept is exactly what was needed for the students to unwind after the final exams. The dash of cultural incorporation into this semester’s class meeting made it such an intriguing and creative “pushing” one for the students to participate in. Thus, making this class meeting stand out in the best way possible.
