Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo’s All Unit Collaborated on Sharing and Celebrating This Year’s Eid Adha with The Local Communities

A total of 20 goats and two cows were received by Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo to be shared on this year’s Eid Adha from across all unit (kindergarten – high school). To participate in celebrating Eid Adha this year, Pembangunan Jaya SDA School provide a facillity for all of the students to donate a few weeks prior to the event. Later on, the donations that were receive will be used to share goat and cow’s meat to the local communities around the school on Eid. 

On Wednesday June 19th 2024, Pembangunan Jaya SDA School’s teachers with the help of the student’s parent comitee and a few of its highschool students held the event of sharing as mentioned previously. The event started early on just a few minutes before seven in the morning. All members of the event (teachers, parents comitee, a few highschool students) participated in various of jobs at the event, such as cutting up the meats, weighing, packing, transporting, distributing, as well as cooking. A day prior to the event, coupons were already distributed amongst the local communities, so on the 19th the Pembangunan Jaya SDA students from kindergarten all the way to highschoolers receive the chance to distribute the meats by exchanging those coupons. All of the students also receive a meal cooked from the meat that were being shared.

While usually on Eid Adha, most students only get to experience the joy of eating the various cooking and dishes from the meat being shared, but this Eid Adha they get to experience the joy of preparing and sharing it around as well.
