Artomic Aestasphoria 2025: Let’s Go Get a Wave with HIVI! Leading the Tide of Celebration

The night of 24th May felt like a small slice of colorful summer. Under the moonlight illuminating the school field, the stage lights welcomed the culmination of a journey called Artomic Aestasphoria, the main theme of this year’s Artomic edition. Designed and presented by this year’s 11th-grade students with the assistance of 10th-grade students, Artomic is not just an art event but a celebration of expression and collaboration. Hundreds to thousands of attendees from various backgrounds gathered to enjoy a night filled with performances, where students showcased their best talents in music and art. With the slogan “Let’s Go Get a Wave,” the atmosphere of the night exuded a sense of freedom, like waves sweeping the beach with rhythm. When the renowned pop group HIVI! took the stage, the entire crowd seemed to dance in unison, riding the same wave of celebration that would be remembered throughout the year.

The event began with performances by the finalists of the Aestasmelodia singing competition, consisting of the three best nominees from elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Although the main show began in the afternoon, the gates had been open since 3:00 p.m. so that visitors could enjoy the food festival atmosphere in the bazaar area located next to the main stage. Don’t forget to visit the photo booth to capture every precious moment with Artomic Aestasphoria. The excitement began with the adorable performance by the kindergarteners from Pembangunan Jaya Sidoarjo, followed by performances from our friends in the elementary, middle, and high school levels. They presented various talented performances through captivating melodies and harmonies. Before moving on to the next session, the announcement of the winners and the awarding of prizes to the Aestasmelodia finalists took place on the main stage. The Aestasmelodia competition series concluded with a special performance by the Pembangunan Jaya 2 high school band, successfully energizing the atmosphere ahead of the main concert.

Finally, the long-awaited moment arrived. The concert began with an energetic performance by DJ Tripleks, who successfully fired up the audience and paved the way for the highlight of the night. The roar of cheers and the jumping of the audience felt as if it shook the earth; that night was truly alive. Happy faces lit up the concert area. Everyone was waiting for one name that had been anticipated from the start: HIVI! When they finally took the stage, cheers erupted in joy. Lights danced to the rhythm of the music, illuminating every precious moment as HIVI! kicked off their performance with the song “Kereta Kencan.” Hysterical shouts of joy echoed among the crowd; some jumped, laughed, and many even shed tears of emotion and happiness. The pinnacle of the night’s joy arrived when the song “Remaja” was performed. The song, so relevant to the mood and age of the audience that night, became an emotional bond. With its simple yet meaningful lyrics—“Tiada masa-masa yang lebih indah dari masa remaja”—HIVI! perfected the night with memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those present.

The Arc team interviewed Bintang ’26, Executive Chair of Artomic Aestasphoria 2025, about this year’s concert:

“The name Aestasphoria is derived from the Latin word ‘aestas,’ meaning summer, and ‘phoria,’ from the word ‘euphoria,’ so it means ‘euphoria in summer.’ The main purpose is to implement the P5 project values from the 11th grade class and gain experiences that can’t be obtained academically. As for the preparations, they were 100% complete since I’m the chairperson. The challenges were manageable. The responses from both the performers and the audience have been positive so far. Yesterday, we didn’t expect to reach 1,000 attendees, that’s a record for Artomic. This year’s Artomic feels different, more vibrant. The proudest moment for me as the event coordinator was when I was called up on stage for the opening remarks, and everyone clapped. We also secured a lot of sponsorships and had a large audience, the event was a success. My hope for Artomic in the future is that it will be even better than this year. Artomic still has a lot of potential to become a concert, not just an ordinary high school event, but something more. My feeling after Artomic was successfully held is that I feel like the coolest person in the world, handsome, cool, and the chairman. Alhamdullilah.”

Imperceptibly, the event came to an end at 10 PM. That night felt so beautiful, making it different from usual nights. The audience left the concert area with big smiles and hearts full of joy, as if all the moments they experienced were sweet rewards for the committee’s hard work. The series of events that night truly formed a wave of joy, in line with this year’s Artomic Aestasphoria slogan: “Let’s Get a Wave.” See you at next year’s Artomic with new enthusiasm, more exciting surprises, and a continuing wave of happiness!
