A New Era of Student Leadership Begins with the OSIS and MPK Handover Ceremony at Pembangunan Jaya Senior High School in Sidoarjo

Friday, November 24, 2025, was a significant day for Pembangunan Jaya Senior High School in Sidoarjo. Under the soft morning light, the handover ceremony for the OSIS and MPK took place solemnly, marking the end of one term of service and the beginning of a new journey for the successors.

The previous members stepped forward calmly, carrying with them the experiences they had gathered over the past year. Before them, the new members stood with hopeful gazes, a mixture of nervousness and burning enthusiasm, as if ready to open a new chapter in the organization’s journeys.

The quietest moment came when the flag was handed over, as the mandate passed from the previous generation to the next. The oath of office echoed softly, becoming a promise to uphold the trust that had been given.

At the front, the previous OSIS and MPK chairpersons, Rafi ’26 and Alberth ’26, faced the newly elected OSIS and MPK chairpersons, Krisazarea ’27 and Arkan ’27. Their glances expressed many things: relief from a term of service that had ended, courage for a journey that had just begun. In that brief silence, the leadership handover took place not only through symbols, but through the trust that had been built together.

After the ceremony was over, the atmosphere relaxed with congratulations and light laughter. The old and new executives took photos together, illustrating a transition that was not just a change of position, but a journey continued with the same spirit.

The handover ceremony that day closed one chapter and opened a new page in the story of the OSIS and MPK of Pembangunan Jaya Senior High School, Sidoarjo, a story about trust, responsibility, and the courage to move forward. With a new spirit now burning in the hands of the elected administrators, the school hopes that the coming year will be a space for fresh ideas, bolder steps, and work that grows from the determination to bring about positive change.
