On Wednesday, January 14th 2026, amidst a cool morning, Pembangunan Jaya 2 High School held an Industrial Visit. This activity was focused for the 10th and 11th grade students and intended to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the world of working, particularly relating to the industrial processes, technology utilization, and production management.
The visit was divided into two destinations. The 10th grade students visited PT Yakult Indonesia Persada in Mojokerto, while the 11th grade students visited the industrial site of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka. Before departure, all students gathered in the school yard for attendance and a prayer.
After traveling by bus, the 10th grade students arrived at PT Yakult Indonesia Persada Mojokerto. Next, they were directed to the PR Room, where the Yakult public relations team presented Yakult’s history, company profile, raw materials used, Yakult products that are available in Indonesia, and its distribution system. One interesting fact presented was the use of the beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus casei Shirota Strain, which plays a role in maintaining a healthy digestive system.
The activity continued with a plant tour, a tour of the Yakult production industry. In this session, students were introduced to the functions of various rooms, such as the Quality Control Room, Seed Room, Dissolving Room, and several other production areas. Through this activity, students were able to directly observe the Yakult production process as well as the implementation of strict hygiene and quality standards.
Following the plant tour, students were invited to visit the education room, which documented the history and development of Yakult. To conclude the series of activities, students received two bottles of mango Yakult to take home. The visit concluded with a question-and-answer session and a group photo with the public relations team of PT Yakult Indonesia Persada.
Through this Industrial Visit, students are expected to gain firsthand learning experience and understand the real world of work and industry. This activity also provides a meaning for students to broaden their knowledge, foster motivation, and prepare themselves for their future education and career paths.
